It’s hard to imagine that either of these two teams could top the game they played last night, but you should probably watch or listen. The Cincinnati Reds are on a 12-game winning streak after last night’s win, which ended Atlanta’s 8-game winning streak. The match between the two first-place clubs is scheduled to begin at 4:10 PM ET.
starting lineup
starting pitcher
Graham Ashcraft
Cincinnati activated Graham Ashcraft from the injured list prior to the game. He has missed the past two weeks, last pitching on June 8. After a strong year, where he posted a 2.00 ERA in his first six starts, Ehcraft posted a 12.72 ERA over his next seven starts before going on the injured list.
The right-hander has had more success against Graham Ashcraft this season, but after initial struggles, the left-hander has done quite well of late. Left-handers are hitting .453/.493/.656 against him since the beginning of May. He hit .071/.188/.161 against them in April.

Jared Shuster
The lefty has fared better against left-handed batsmen this season. However, the rookie hasn’t been as effective when it comes to controlling the strikezone as he has walked 22 batters this season with 23 strikeouts and it doesn’t matter if he’s facing lefty or righty. Shuster has been a fly ball pitcher, but he has so far put the ball in yards and given up only two home runs in 41.1 innings.
