Internationally renowned singer and songwriter Coco Lee – Mandarin voice of the title character in the Disney animated film mulan and hitmaker in three languages - died at the age of 48 in a Hong Kong hospital on Wednesday. His sisters Nancy and Carol Lee announced on social media that he died after a suicide attempt at his home on Sunday.
His sisters said Lee had been suffering from depression for some years and his condition had worsened in recent months.
