A temporary protective order against Ezra Miller in Massachusetts has been lifted, and the actor released a statement saying they are “grateful” for the decision.
Miller grateful for decision to let protective order expire
Miller was previously accused by the mother of a 12-year-old non-binary child of inappropriate behavior towards her. The child’s family also accused Miller of harassing them, although no formal charges were ever filed. A temporary harassment order was issued through June 2022, but a Massachusetts judge allowed that order to expire this week.
In a rare public statement, Miller acknowledged the moment on Instagram, and accused the family of using the protective order as a weapon, saying they “wanted attention or fleeting tabloid fame.” “
In the statement, Miller said, “I am encouraged by today’s outcome and deeply grateful to all those who have stood by me during this time and tried to ensure that this egregious abuse of the protective order system is stopped.” “Protective orders are meant to provide protection for individuals, families and children who are at risk. They should not be used as a weapon by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vendetta, when such people are in genuine and dire need of these services.
Miller further stated that she has been “unjustly and directly targeted” by someone she claims has a history of “manipulative and destructive actions”. Miller also hit out at the media for what he says is not reporting the story accurately, but “chasing clicks.”

I have been unjustly and directly targeted by a man who the facts show has a history of such manipulative and destructive actions.
I implore the members of the media who have recklessly spread false claims and failed to accurately report the truth and context of this story to hold themselves to a higher standard and seek facts instead of chasing clicks I request you to take the time.
