Objective of Haryana Bhed Palak Uthan Yojana

• To create self-employment opportunities through sheep and goat rearing activities.
• To develop and upgrade the goat and sheep breeds available in the state.
• To increase income generation opportunities for economically weaker sections of the society.
• To increase wool, meat and milk production of goat and sheep in the state.
• To motivate goat and sheep herders for stall feeding by providing free green fodder cum salt block feeders.

Haryana Bhed Palak Uthan Yojana Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to apply for the scheme are listed below:

• The applicant must be a resident of Haryana state.
• The age limit of the applicant should be between 18 to 55 years.
• The applicant should be unemployed and belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.

Note: No firm or organization will be considered to apply for this scheme, as the scheme is for individual beneficiaries, except Self Help Groups (SHGs) who are required to avail assistance per member of SHG for setting up units. Will be allowed.

Financial assistance in Haryana Bhed Palak Uthan Yojana

The financial assistance will be in the form of providing sheep or goat unit and green fodder cum salt block feeder free of cost to the beneficiary. Also, livestock insurance coverage will be provided against loss or damage to cattle. Under this scheme, the insurance premium will be borne by the government at the rate of 100% for one year.

Note: If the insurance premium is paid by the beneficiary, the same will be reimbursed to the beneficiary by the government.

Financial assistance in the form of subsidy for setting up sheep/goat unit under the scheme.

This is a credit linked scheme. Back end subsidy will be provided under this scheme. Under the scheme, 100% subsidy will be provided to SC/BPL/widow families and landless General, BC and other category beneficiaries for setting up sheep and goat units of 10 females and 1 male. Initially the beneficiary will have to bear the purchase cost of sheep and goat unit at 25% of the unit cost which is Rs. Rs.17500/- per unit as margin money (proof of the same should be given by the beneficiary), which will later be provided in the beneficiary’s account as per the guidelines of the scheme.

Training on sheep and goat rearing practices will be provided to the beneficiaries by the government for setting up sheep and goat rearing units. A total of 572 sheep and goat units (286 each) will be established during the year 2024-25Also, self-employment opportunities will be provided to the beneficiaries in animal husbandry sectors.

The beneficiaries will be assisted in setting up the units in the following ways:

• The total cost of new construction and repair of the shed will be borne by the beneficiaries themselves.
• In addition to the above, green fodder cum salt block feeder for goat and sheep will be given free of cost to the beneficiary.
• Apart from this, veterinary support facilities like treatment, consultation and vaccination will also be provided to the beneficiary from the nearby veterinary hospital.

Upon submission of the application form, the concerned officer will scrutinize the applications received. If the application form is approved by the Deputy Directors of the respective districts then they will send the application to the respective Sub Divisional Officers for re-verification within 15 days. After verification of the application, if the concerned officers are not satisfied then they will return the application form to the Deputy Director with the corrections to be made in the application. The following selection committee will select the beneficiaries to participate under the Chief Minister Bhed Palak Utthan Yojana.

• step 1: The applicant has to go to the home page of the website. Visit the portal to apply for Saral Yojana.

• step 3: After providing the details, click on “Validate” button to receive an email and SMS regarding login credentials. Using this login details, you can log in to the portal.
