Justin Trudeau tweets invitation to Taylor Swift to visit Canada
Neither Swift nor her management has commented on her decision to leave Canada.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appears to be a secret Swiftie, after he tweeted an invitation to superstar Taylor Swift asking her to bring his Eras tour to Canada.
Swift announced Wednesday that she’s adding another 14 European and UK stops to her career-extending concert series with special guest Paramore.
As of now, there are no Canadian dates for her international tour that will take Swift to Mexico, Europe, Asia and Australia next year.
Trudeau responded to Swift’s tweet with brief lyrics from his own song, posting, “It’s me, hi. I know you will love the Canadian locations. So, don’t make this another brutal summer. We hope to see you soon.”
Canada’s contempt case by Swift has reached the House of Commons, with Conservative MP Matt Genroux saying last month he would file an “official” complaint “on behalf of all Swifties” in the country.
Neither Swift nor her management has commented on the decision to leave Canada.
