Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, grandson of Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, has died, his mother announced on social media.
He was 19 years old.
Actress Drena De Niro, daughter of Robert De Niro, wrote about the loss of her son in a post on Instagram sunday.

She tagged her son’s father, artist Carlos Rodriguez, who goes by the name Carlos Mare, in the post.
He wrote, “Rest in peace and eternal heaven my dear boy.”
Mare replied in a comment on the post, “Words are not enough to express the joy she brought us or the loss we are now bearing with our families and friends.” “He’s a godchild now.”
No cause of death was shared.
